ZenAlgo - Mars
Mars is an RSI-based momentum oscillator built around a main moving average, its signal line, and multi-timeframe context. It helps identify momentum shifts and distinguish a warning from a fully aligned strong signal.
How to read it
Start with the main MA versus the signal MA. When the main line crosses above the signal, momentum is improving; a cross below means it is weakening. The histogram shows the distance between them, making acceleration and deceleration easier to see.
Next, inspect the multi-timeframe table. A signal that agrees with the higher-timeframe trend is usually more useful than the same symbol appearing against it.
Lines, symbols, and tables
| Visual | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Main MA | Smoothed RSI momentum |
| Signal MA | Reference line for momentum changes |
| Histogram | Difference between main and signal MA |
| R / H | Regular or hidden divergence on the main MA |
| Diamond | Strong bullish or bearish signal |
| Orange triangle | Bullish or bearish warning |
| Cross triangle | MA cross supported by a rising or falling histogram |
The timeframe table shows RSI, MA, and trend for each configured timeframe. The signal table summarizes trend bias, time spent above 70 or 50, below 50 or 30, and the current MA trend.
Alerts
| Alert | Meaning |
|---|---|
| MA > SIGNAL | Main MA crosses above the signal |
| MA < SIGNAL | Main MA crosses below the signal |
| Strong Bull Signal / Strong Bear Signal | Strong directional alignment |
| Bullish Warning / Bearish Warning | Early warning that momentum may be changing |
Cross alerts are early and frequent. Strong signals are more selective. Warning alerts are best used to review an existing position or prepare for confirmation, not as automatic reversal entries.
